Introduction to cable truss system

The principle of both single-cable curtain wall and single-layer cable net curtain wall is that the curtain wall resists the wind-load by large deflective deformation of the cable when it bears the wind load. Generally, deflective deformation of single-layer cable net curtain walls support structure achieves 1/50 to 1/80 of the support span.

Most of the single-cable curtain wall use the seam glass clamp which are in shapes of plum or rectangular, etc. Part of curtain walls fix the glass by spiders and routels and fix the cable by cable-fixers.  

Introduction to the covered cable truss curtain wall

Point type curtain wall becomes more and more transparent and simple, and it is a special case of the single-cable curtain wall. It makes the curtain wall bearing force less and looking more beautiful that the single cable truss is installed in the seam between the glass panels. It may be the trend of development for point type curtain wall. For this structure we have applied National Patent (ZL 200620089818.9)

When installing, we fix the clamp to the cable by press block and then cover the glass panel with inner cover of the clamp after installation of the glass panels. The finish strip will be used if the diameter of the cable is relatively large comparing with the glass thickness.
