Routel center-to-center structure introduction:

Wind load, gravity load and earthquake act on the glass of point-fixed glass curtain wall and transfer the loads to spider through glass holes, which leads to the area of glass holes is the biggest stress area. In addition there exist fissures around the glass holes after tapping, this causes the mostly destroyed location of glass in project. So the key to enhance safety of point-fixed glass curtain wall is enhancing the intensity of edges of glass holes and reducing the stress of glass hole area.

C-to-C routel contained in patented structure (patent no: ZL 03 2 11834.1) means that the rotational center of routel is aligned with glass thickness center in a same point.

Routel adopts articulated ball joint in order to make routel offsets glass deformation formed by wind pressure and reduce the deformation stress. To adopting center-to-center structure makes glass deformation center (neutral plane)--- glass thickness center corresponds with routel rotational center. Under the same loads, the stress of glass deformation will be the minimum value.
